DIY Dia de los Muertos Pennant Banner - Crafty Chica Design Team
I am so thrilled to share this project with you. I was selected to be a part of Kathy Cano-Murillo, also known as The Crafty Chica - Design Team for her new product release with Michaels. Kathy has always been an inspiration to me. I am grateful for this opportunity to blog and share what I created with her products. I chose her Crafty Chica Juicy Fabric Inks (I used 2 sets).
I decided to make a DIY Dia De Los Muertos Pennant Banner.
Here is what you'll need:
CraftyChica Juicy Fabric Inks, canvas (I had a roll of it, so that's what I used) or any other white or light colored fabric. Ribbon of different widths and colors, Stitch Witchery (I am a no-sew kinda gal), some silk or paper flowers, glue gun/glue, scissors and an iron.
Once I was finished with my drawings, I ironed a thin fold to all four sides of the squares and also to set the inks. I then cut a strip of ribbon and folded it in half (long ways) and ironed it so that it would have a nice crease.
I then used the Stitch Witchery fabric bonding tape to adhere the top part of the canvas squares and ribbon together. This was easy, fast and no need for sewing!
The best part is my fireplace is ready for Dia de los Muertos and I am now even more inspired and excited to use these fabric inks in some more fun projects. Thank you Kathy!
I picked up most of my supplies from my local Michaels stores both in San Mateo and Redwood City, CA. What do you think of this project? I would love to read your feedback.

I received this complimentary product(s) from CraftyChica.com as part of the Crafty Chica Design Team, was asked to share an original DIY project.
