New Sol painting on half circle, gallery wrapped canvas. Available this week on Ebay. It's a little different than my previous sun paintings, it has green eyes instead of blue. Looks great over a door or archway.

New mini painting...on wood block, titled: "Salvdoran Sunrise". I was going to start a larger painting last night, but I've decided to wait until I have a little more time. With these small ones I can start and finish them in one sitting or as they say in the art world "a la prima".

Today I got to meet this artist by the name Harry Fonseca (maidu heritage). What an amazing artist and friendly soul. He gave a talk today on campus (Stanford) so I the curious artist that I am went to meet him asked him questions and he was so nice to answer me honestly. The main discussion was about Indian artists (native american) who had travelled and participated in the Venice Biennale. Since I am still toying with the idea of going to the the Florence Biennale I thought it would be great to hear from him first hand experiences. He thought that I should go to Florence, but acknowledged how difficult it is simply because of logistics and the finances involved. The best advice he gave me was "work" and work hard it will pay off in the end. He also said I should try working on large canvasses to really bring out my style. So I'm feeling inspired after that and will be going home to paint tonight and this weekend. I've had some large canvases just sitting there wa

New -- Frida y La Luna... she looks a little pissed of if you ask me...maybe it's just the unibrow that makes her look like that? The moon continues to pop up in my paintings. Not really sure why but I like it. She's on ebay this week.

New ACEO trio... these little mini paintings are addicting.

To all the Friducha freaks out there Associated Press released this article today on Undiscovered Clothes and artifacts belonging to Frida Kahlo in her Blue House in rooms that had been sealed off and discovered during the renovation project. After the kids got home this past Friday they and I were anxious to get a new puppy. Millie was their first pet and will always have a special place in our family. We still miss her. Since last week I had been calling different shelters, and dog rescues and scouring the different websites for the right one. Saturday we drove 3 different places and finally found our new baby. Her name is "Mimi" and she is a chihuahua/mini pincher mix. She is this beautiful red/fawn color and is so loveable. She had been abandoned 2 twice before. I think our family will be her forever home. She is very loveable and sweet little thing. She looks like a little deer when she runs with her long legs. Both she and Sarah are adjusting to each other. My hope is that they will bond and be very close to each other.
