Luis Miguel...oh my!

Image
Finally a little break !...my niece Cristina and I are going to the Luis Miguel concert tonight... I can't wait...I've been following him since he was a little guy...I guess I was a little girl when I first saw him on the old "Siempre en Domingo" show when he used to sing and strut his stuff...singing with Lucero. This was way back when Ricky Martin was still a part of Menudo... I was a Menudo fan too...remember that song "sube te a mi moto..!" Anyways...I am finally going to see him live and in person.....siggghhhh... no I won't be tossing my chones his way but I will blow him a kiss or two. ;0 My favorite Luis Miguel song is the remake of "Sabor a mi" from his Boleros favoritos CD and I love his "Romances" CD too. http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1851396/a/Romances.htm

New Sol y Luna, siempre flirty...small 5x7 inches, on canvas. Check it out!

y sandiafria tambien....

Image
Another Sandiafria painting, similar to my very first one many years ago except in mini version. People always ask why I paint watermelons and I say because it's like a part of the family... it always makes an appearance at our family get togethers, birthdays, holidays, picnics, even weddings and quinceneras.

Mas Cafe con Leche ...um que rico!

Image
Can't live without my "cafe on leche" I started this series last year around this time. I figured it was time to do another. This painting is available on EBay this week.

Catrina... a first

Image
With the Dia de Los Muertos quickly approaching I thought I would try a muerto painting. This is my very first Catrina. I will probably keep her for a while. But if you would like a similar painting just shoot me an email. I will be creating blank cards and 5x7 prints of Ms. Catrina. This one is 5x7 inches on canvas, acrylics. ps. update the angel below has a new owner! yippee! The auction is closed.

Here is something I will do with a few of the paintings I am working on or will work on in the few months. I started this painting back in early spring of this year and finished it in July. I've been living with it and enjoying it in my home since then and have now decided to let it go. Click on the picture link to see the progression of the painting from start to finish.

This is a horrible tragedy... like the tsunami tragedy I feel so useless. My prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and for the survivers who have a long road ahead to recovery.
