I will be out and about all over the bay area this week. I hope to see you at one of these events!

Tuesday October 12th
Starting tonight I'll have some paintings on display at Puerto Alegre Restaurant, 546 Valencia St in San Francisco, (restaurant opens at 5:30 for dinner tonight). The opening of the Third Annual Dia de los Muertos Exhibit, installation
by Polu Manu Productions, other artists include Shawn Griggs, Emilia Garcia, Emmanuel Montoya, Hector Silva, Maya Gonzalez, Pamela Enriquez and many others, The Vigil Familia and Puerto Alegre is a San Francisco Institution and Family Style Restaurant in the heart of the Historical Mission District, best margaritas in town too! Please stop by to see this amazing artwork and have a margarita!


Thursday October 14th
Latina(o) Artists United Against Breast Cancer, Reflections on Canvas, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness
Month, at Latinas Contra Cancer in San Jose. 255 North Market Street, Suite 175 (corner of
Julian-on North San Pedro side on backside of building)This is truly an international collaboration with art pieces, sculptures and photographs from Latin America, Europe and the U.S. a few of the local Bay Area artists include:
Roxanne Quezada Chartouni, Alejandra Palos, Alejandra Oseguera, and myself. Thank you Ysabel Duron for putting together such a wonderful place to educate our community in fighting this disease.


Friday October 15th

CantinaSF @ 580 Sutter Street, (in between Powell & Mason near Union Square) San Francisco. Dia de Los Muertos art exhibit opens this Friday October 15th, Sandra Gonzalez will be shown with other works by Shawn Griggs, Emmanuel Montoya, Maya Gonzalez, Maria Sanchez, Hector Silva, Emilia Garcia and others, installation by Polu Manu Productions.












Saturday, October 16th, 2010 — 11am-6pm
Dia de Los Muertos Community Celebration at Meek Mansion & park, Hayward, CA

I have a painting on display in the mansion. There will also be a Days of the Dead ceremony led by Yolanda Aranda with Xaguia Aztec dancers, Folklore music and dancing by Mariachi Juvenil de Hayward and Grupo Folklorico Tlapalli Musical performances by Blanca, Jesus Cisneros, Viviane DeLeon Bias and Solo Amigos, Chabot College Theatre performs an original Days of the Dead play, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, activities for kids.

Presented in partnership with Hayward Area Recreation and Park District.
You can participate! Bring canned food for the community altar. All the food will be donated to a local food bank.

The Meek Mansion is located at 17365 Boston Road at Hampton Road in Hayward
