Feliz dia de Los Reyes Magos. Web link takes you to an interesting page that describes all about the celebrations that take place today throughout the Hispanic world. For our home it is an extra special day it was the day our daughter Erika was born... she turns 14 today. Happy Birthday Erika, I love you Mom.

I picked up all of the Christmas decorations and cleaned up all of the remnants from the family gatherings, dinners and parties. Leaving only my 3 Reyes Magos display on my mantle. In honor of a new year, I forced some bulbs in a vase and am now anxiously awaiting new buds and soon some fragrant flowers. Like these bulbs the year will be a time of forced growth, breakthoughs, new buds and hopefully some beautiful results. My resolutions this year are to stay focused, stay busy, stay positive...let go and Let God.

2 new paintings.... I've been in a weird abstract, modern type of painting mood. I really like the jewel tones kind of funky squares, and circles thing going on. This one is 5x7 inches, acrylics on canvas "Cuadros and Circulos #1"... think I may do a series of these. the other is on wood block, acrylics called "Blue Lady" 5.5 x 7 inches, sides are black. Both are on Ebay this week.
