In honor of Earth Day today I am launching a new site for all green thinking crafters, scrap bookers and mixed media artists. It's called .... drum roll please.... sandiaslice.com ! I had to fit in the sandia theme in there some how. It's dedicated to using paper from junkmail, old birthday cards, christmas cards, postcards, etc. and turning them into usable epherma, die cuts of various shapes and giving them new life in crafts, new cards, aceo's the sky is the limit. It's my way of contributing back to the earth for all it has given to us. Why not make beautiful things with paper that would otherwise end up in the recycle bin. Here's slide show of what's available now :)

This tree painting symbolizes the strength, length and depth of the mission of Latinas Contra Cancer. 5 years is a milestone year for cancer survivors. The walk and agency turns 5 this year as well. I've been toying with trying Polymer clay for a while and last night I did it. I pulled, stretched and rolled it around in my hands, baked it. (burned a few) :( But I am now over my fear of it... this always happens to me when I start a new medium. It's not paint, but I can paint on it, so that's pretty cool. I made a few pendants... with my tree/roots fascination that took over since last March... oh my didn't realize it has been a whole year. They are all listed in my Etsy store for very low dinero.

New Couture Catrina, she is 9x12 inches on bristol board. Mixed media collage. I put her together last night watching American Idol. I was having way to much much fun with her. : ) I'll be making prints of her available on Etsy.

I just added a new paintings banner to this blog and my website. I'll keep it updated with new paintings that are available. Email me quick if your interested. They go pretty fast especially the smaller ones. I've scattered them about on EBay, Etsy and direct buy from me.
